5G icon

Your carrier’s 5G network is available, and your iPhone can connect to the internet over that network. 5G works with these iPhone models. (Non available in all areas.)



Your carrier’s 5G network with college frequency is available, and your iPhone tin can connect to the internet over that network. Works with these iPhone models. (Non available in all areas.)

5G E icon

Your carrier’s 5G E network is available, and your iPhone can connect to the internet over that network. Works with iPhone 8 and after. (Non available in all areas.)

LTE icon

Your carrier’s LTE network is available, and your iPhone can connect to the cyberspace over that network. (iPhone 5 and later. Not available in all areas.)

3G icon

Your carrier’s 3G UMTS (GSM) or EV-DO (CDMA) network is available, and your iPhone can connect to the internet over that network.

4G icon

Your carrier’s 4G UMTS (GSM) or LTE network is bachelor, and your iPhone can connect to the net over that network. (Not bachelor in all areas.)

GPRS icon

Your carrier’s GPRS (GSM) or 1xRTT (CDMA) network is bachelor, and your iPhone can connect to the internet over that network.

E icon

Your carrier’southward EDGE (GSM) network is available, and your iPhone can connect to the internet over that network.

Cellular Network icon

You’re in range of your cellular network and tin can make and receive calls. If there’s no signal, “No service” or “SOS” appears.

Dual SIM with cellular service icon

On your iPhone with Dual SIM adequacy, yous’re in range of your cellular network and tin make and receive calls. If there’s no point, “No service” or “SOS”  appears.

Wi-Fi icon

You tin can use Wi-Fi calling. Your carrier also appears side by side to the icon.

Wi-Fi bars icon

If you see bluish, green, carmine, or regal in the status bar

On iPhone X and later, the color shows as a chimera behind the time. On iPhone 8 or earlier, the color goes all the way beyond the status bar. Hither’s what each colour means:



Your iPhone is either recording sound or your screen.



Your iPhone is using SharePlay to share content.

* For Personal Hotspot on iPhone 8 or before, you tin can also encounter how many devices joined your hotspot.personal hotspot icon appears in the status bar of iOS devices using Personal Hotspot.


If y’all see orange or green indicators in the status bar

With iOS 14 and after, you might see an orange or greenish indicator in the status bar on your iPhone. These indicators appear when the microphone and/or camera are existence used by an app.
